Common’s Procession and Exhibition were made in partnership with Hollybush Conservation Centre and Sunshine & Smiles.

TCV (The Conservation Volunteers): Hollybush Conservation Centre
Hollybush in Kirkstall is an environmental volunteering centre that has been running for over 45 years. Their volunteers help to manage green spaces across Leeds and beyond.
Hollybush supported Common as offering their venue for Common’s second fundraiser with Them There Cowboys in 2026. They also donated second-hand wood for Common to turn into a loom, used in the Procession and Exhibition for a communal weaving.
Sunshine and Smiles
Sunshine & Smiles is a registered charity that provides a support network in Leeds for children and young people who have Down syndrome and their families.
Common offered a mentorship through Sunshine & Smiles, an opportunity for a person with Down’s Syndrome to contribute to the planning of the exhibition Art of the Folk. Common also ran a workshop through Sunshine & Smiles, where attendees drew designs that were exhibited in Art of the Folk.
